In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan explained that the league’s new carpeting will be made from a “cotton blend” that’s a “more durable material.”
That cotton blend will have a higher absorbency than other carpeting types, and will have less “tangles,” or spots where a product has a tendency to separate.
“I have no doubt that the new carpet will be more durable and will hold up to a lot of the abuse we’re going to see,” Ryan said.
“And we’re also going to have a little bit more texture, a little more grip, and it’s going to be better at absorbing sweat.”
The Falcons’ new carpet was unveiled at a press conference on Friday, with Ryan also confirming that the team’s new ball cap will feature an all-new design.
