
The word “plastic” conjures up images of plastic bottles, plastic cans, and plastic bags.
But it’s a much more complex material than these.
When we think of plastic, we think mostly of the kind that is used for packaging, such as paper, cardstock, and vinyl.
But there are other types of plastic used in everyday use, too.
The materials we use to make up our daily lives—textiles, glass, wood, metal, plastics, and more—have a wide range of uses, and they’re often combined in ways that don’t make sense to most people.
The plastic we use every day has a wide variety of uses that range from clothing to toys to electronics to furniture to electrical devices.
So what are these uses, what is the best way to use these materials, and what should we be looking for in the plastics we use?
