Fears of an impending storm are setting off fears of severe weather across Georgia, as a new storm warning has been issued.
Officials say severe weather warnings have been issued for:The National Weather Service says a thunderstorm warning has also been issued on the eastern coast of the U.S. for the first time since November 11.
The weather service says a large storm surge warning has begun for Georgia and South Carolina, and a major hurricane warning is in effect for North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.
The agency says a tropical storm warning is also in effect, and coastal flooding and storm surge warnings are in effect.
The storms are expected to pass through southern Georgia in the next few hours.
